It was actually the exam text for the JAN 2011 paper so feel free to give the exam paper and mark scheme a look here. This is due in on Wednesday 14th December.

  • AS MEDIA - Those of you that have submitted your Prezi presentations on the film of your choice have not had them posted here. There is also feedback about the gaps that need filling and this should be a focus over the coming weeks so that we can fill our responses with detail when we work on them. Be ready to go over how to respond to a question next week.

  • GCSE MEDIA (Y10) - Have added the powerpoint from the two lessons on Representation along with some of the images and diagrams that were used here. Please use this to help you revise and to make sure that you have understood the main aspects of the lesson.

  • AS MEDIA - The next film to look at is NOSFERATU (1922). You can watch for free or download here or I have embedded the film below. The question to consider is: How far has this film influenced modern cinema?
  • CATHERINE - in answer to your question best to find 2 examples from both working class and upperclass that show different representations, different ages or genders maybe. On a side note the best way to ask questions is to use the contact form on the home page and I can then reply straight back to you.
 
  • YEAR 10 - I have placed many of the classroom resources and PowerPoints used in class onto the Basic Skills page of the site. Use this for revision and to make sure that you can use all of the media language involved. You will also find a collection of videos and example to help with your understanding.
